DVD Storage Rack

Hanging a DVD Storage Rack

So are you looking at a range of different styles of the basic DVD storage rack for your home? If so, that's a great thing because they truly do help you organize and protect the rather considerable investment that you have in your DVD collection. I'm not a very organized person myself but my girlfriend is and when we moved in she present me with two racks that I had to understand how to mount and use. I found out a couple things that I wanted to share with you.

Almost any DVD storage rack out there will need you to mount it on or against a wall. Some come with double sided sticky tape, but that's not truly adequate for a secure hold. You will want to use a properly sized wall anchor to mount your rack. You can get these at greatest hardware stores for only a couple dollars. Don't use just a bare old screw in your drywall or it can pull out and serious hurt someone when you least expect it. Trust me on this one, I learned the hard so so you don't have to.

Keep an eye on your racks storage height. You don't want a DVD Storage Rack that is higher than the eye level of the shortest person in your home. Please listen to me on that. I had my then-girlfriend begin to climb my racks trying to get to a movie. It was that same incident that taught me not to use regular screws when installing the racks. So now these two tips should help your out hopefully.

DVD Storage Furniture finally

Have you recently considered trying to get a better grip over your organization habits and your DVD movies? A DVD storage rack may help you get your movies sorted out a little better, and it will definitely keep them safer than if they laid around on the floor. At least if you do you can stop saying things "Hun, have you seen my movie?" I can tell you this, my wife is much happier now that things are organized. Here are some reason why. This can go for any piece of DVD Storage Furniture.

First off, a DVD storage rack doesn't have to take up any floor space. My home theater room is small to begin with, so I didn't would like to use up the small number of available space that I did have. Naturally this was my first response when my wife brought up the idea of getting one. However, you can actually realize some really high quality hardwood racks that don't take up any extra floor space and added some elegance to the room, which made both of us very happy.

The second thing I quickly learned about having a DVD storage rack was that it was actually protecting my investment, from myself. I know that might sound odd, but be taught me out. Do you know how much money you have invested in your DVD collection? Probably more than you understand. When my DVD's were on the floor, I use to step on them and even ruined a few. Having them up in the rack eliminated that problem all together so after a few months, the rack paid for itself. That should be reason enough for you to consider using one. I'm pretty happy with how my DVD Storage Furniture finally turned out!

DVD Storage Furniture

DVD Storage Furniture

Are you thinking that DVD storage furniture may help you sort and organize your movie album? Well you are right, they do a great job of doing just that. However, it's important you know what a DVD storage rack really is and a few of it's downsides as well as it's advantages over similar things such as DVD storage cabinets. So let's talk about them a bit.

A DVD storage rack is generally either made from wood or metal and is used to house DVD movie cases with outside access. That is, to allow someone to browse and select their movie without having to open any drawer. They are best used in homes where guests are frequently over to display your movies and allow the guests to be able to easily browse through your collection.

DVD Storage Furniture is ideal if you have a smaller album of movies, and don't plan on significantly enlarging upon that down the road. The reason for that is because the great ease of access that a DVD storage rack provides comes at the price of holding capacity. The average rack will only hold up to one hundred different discs at one point in time.

The biggest advantage of a DVD storage rack is that they come in a range of formats that you can choose from to best suit both your needs and your home. They can be purchase as floor standing units, and wall mount units. You can buy one that will fit your floor space needs, and if you don't have a lot of floor space then a metal wall mounted DVD storage rack would be perfect for your needs!
